Program
Since we began rehearsing in August, connection, self-care, and empowerment developed into the very themes of the dances in Moving Forward. Ensemble member were encouraged to fully invest themselves in this extraordinary moment and their adaptability, their willingness to share, and their resilient support of each other is impressive.
Our returning guest choreographers are Steph Paul and Michel Rodriguez Cintra, whose pieces are fresh and athletic. Béa Rashid's work on the power of friendship features longtime ensemble members who are seniors and appearing in their final EDE performance. Artistic Director Christina Ernst's two pieces are quite different from each other, though both use props to expand on the themes of the production.
Moving Forward will soon be available online and we'll be looking for opportunities for outdoor pop-up events over the next few months.
